The Barn
North-facing cottage with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains; forms part of a restored, historic barn, dating from the early 20th century, that was also used for distilling wine and spirits.
Two bedrooms (each containing 2 single beds) and a bathroom with a shower and toilet and a large kitchen which leads onto an open porch with barbeque facilities. Bed linen and towels supplied. A warm water geyser is served by gas and solar panels as well as a fridge and hot-plate served by gas; light is provided by solar lamps. The cottage borders onto a historic furrow, constructed in 1870 and fed by a mountain stream to serve irrigation on Die Poort and a neighbouring farm.
You can book The Barn for R1200 for up to two people and R1600 for three to four people (cottage sleeps four). (Minimum of 2 nights). Seasonal rates may differ. Please contact us for more information.
