Eagle's Nest
Restored pioneer cottage, dated 1881, closest to the river, nestled on an outcrop at the foot of the Swartberg, with a stunning north facing view of the nearby river and mountains. Bed linen and towels supplied. A warm water geyser as well as a fridge and hot-plate is served by gas; light is provided by solar lamps.
The cottage consists of two bedrooms, (one also serving as a lounge), containing two double beds and one single bed, a bathroom (shower and toilet) and a kitchen, stepping out onto a large veranda with outside barbecue area.
Please note: in order to reach Eagle’s Nest you need a bakkie or vehicle with reasonable ground clearance to travel over two short drifts.
You can book Eagle's Nest for R1200 for up to two people and R1600 for three to four people (cottage sleeps four). (Minimum of 2 nights). Seasonal rates may differ. Please contact us for more information.
